About This Spot

The take off is short, completely flat, with gravel, on a vertical cliff. The wind generates a rotor on the launching site which, when the breeze is weak is manageable as it stays lower than three meters. When the wind reinforces the rotor increases, making the take off impossible. It is a technical take off. Not for the beginners or the faint hearted. Very unforgiving.

Hard to get higher than 600 mt, but beautiful view, very scenic and relaxing... after you get over the nightmarish take off.

Takeoff altitude: 126m

Access Notes

You need a good 4 wheel drive vehicle to get close to the takeoff point which is located close to the middle set of antennas. Otherwise is a 25 minutes steep walk. Quite enjoyable though. You need to ask permission to the 'finca' located at the bottom, which control the entrance, and you will be reaching the site from the south. You can 'rent' a donkey to carry the glider if you wish, with a local guy is going to cost 25000 pesos (14 USD). Do not trash the site. We keep it immaculate.
