The access is via the only road up to the mountain and then a 10 minutes trek to the TO from the designated parking area.
This site is being further developed to incorporate proper facilities and complying with MSAF specifications and regulations. It is currently classified as for Intermediate & Advanced pilots.

Access Notes
Gunung Jerai is accessible through PLUS highway and clearly visible from the highway. Take the Gurun/Yan exit and nearing a town called Guar Cempedak, there will be signboards to Gunung Jerai. An alternative is via train, which you can disembark at Gurun station adjacent to the mountain. The train station situated in the railway track that connects Thailand and Singapore. Please check KTMB website for the train schedule.

Known Hazards
Flight zone of 52kmq. 1. VFR flight with maximum height 4000ft MSL, 10km north. 2. Beyond that, maximum height 2500ft MSL until a town called Kota Sarang Semut. All other areas are restricted by the nearest ATC in Alor Setar and Butterworth airports.
