About This Spot

There are three potential takeoff's
1) Southeast (Intermediate)
2) South (Beginner)
- In front of main windmill. Lots of room.
- Watch of snaggy bushes.
3) West (Advanced)
- a bit of a hike and you need to ensure the wind is stable or you may sink out and won't reach the LZ
4) North (Possible, but not practical) - A tricky, rocky launch that is soar-able in only perfect conditions. Landing zone is huge, but it's a long hike back up. Possible to take ATV Trail, but it's also long and technical.

Do not fight here without talking to local pilot. The Whitehorse airport must be contacting prior to launch.

This site is easy to get to put the access road is rough but accessible with most vehicles if you drive slowly and don't mind potholes. The windmills are enjoyable to watch and also aid in showing the wind direction to help with flying (when they are operational].

If you start sinking out, had directly to LZ. There are two switchbacks for emergency landings Long as you're comfortable with spot landing. Several pilots have waited too long and ended up with a wing in the trees.
