Ask for house thermals and sink holes as the wind direction shifts and when to cross the valley to the 900 take off zone.
cliff launch, with occasional bursts of rotor and thermal.
When they trim the trees on the SE face, that launch is safe and easy. When they don't there is a constant back-wind and rotor.
The south west launch is largly useless.
camp grounds on the take off, bath, call for equipment repair, top landing is easy M - F. usually a driver on weekends,
100 km potential XC flights up the valley. easy hitchhike back. You can live here for a week and never go down the mountain.
this is an awesome place3 to fly in the summer, before the typhoon season.

fly to Kaohsiung Int'l airport, bus from there to Taitung, bus to Lu Yeh taxi to take off. or, Kaohsiung to Lu Yeh by train ( 3.5 hours )

Don't land in the prison yard, watch the double set of high voltage power lines, occasional fly-bys from SAR heli's.
