Watchout for cranky landowners. (Some pilots have had the sheriff called on them when landing in the rectangular fields along the west of Foothill Rd.)
UPDATE 7-20-19: We can no longer land in ANY of the large rectangular fields on the west side of Foothill Rd, as the even the friendly owner now has horses and doesn't want landings there.
However, the neighbors of the square-ish field a quarter mile southwest of the Jewel-Foothill intersection welcome landings there! It's a 5.5:1 glide, but there is also a less-than-ideal bailout meadow on the N. side of the Jewel Basin rd. These two, plus the diagonal FVCC field along Foothill rd are also off limits now until an agreement can be reached.
