About This Spot

The takeoff is just below the village's defence wall - a grassy field, with a sort of "ramp", which may be convenient for a hang glider launch. The access to the takeoff from the village is through a small metal gate just above the takeoff. The gate normally is not locked. If locked, one has to walk around and climb to the takeoff from below.
The takeoff itself is slightly "technical" due to the rotor from the edge, not for the beginners.

Flying over Marvao village and the castle is very beautiful.
In good conditions, one can turn the thermal and fly an XC to Spain.
