Access Notes
From Killarney go to Tomies Wood (near the Gap of Dunloe). drive as far as possible towards Tomies Wood, park your car and walk through the farmyard. The first house belongs to the local landowner, Mr. Tim Fleming, a very nice man. If you see him you might tell him your intentions and to ask for his permission. Walk from here to the take off area at the far end of Tomies Wood via the 'lower road'. You will have to walk until you are well out of the wood. The track through an ancient Oak forest is a Loop, and it is the same distance which ever way you go.
