Hazards: This is a dynamic ridge soaring site.
1) Multiple terrain features exist which can cause rotor.
2) Many times, a large wind gradient will set up between the upper cliffs and the lower launches. This gradient is responsible for many blow-back events as seen on youtube. Blow-back results in flying directly into power lines, tight neighborhoods, and very busy streets (freeway).
3) Vegetation grows thick and wild in the park. Landing anywhere other than a designated LZ or on the upper, middle or lower road could result in a good amount of time untangling a glider.
