Osiyan dune

Osiyan:-Located about 65 Km from Jodhpur towards the N, flyable in NE winds has a good restaurant at the top of the dune, it is an average dune flying site.
The dune is 50 feet high.

Dune flying sites in Rajasthan :-Pls. note due to the shear nature of the dunes they are only flyable in winter only, the NE winds blow during the winter and it is ideal for them. One can predict good flying days from the snowfall in the northern regions. At least for three continuous days after the snowfall the wind blows and one can have a good time. Min. 10-15 km/hr wind is good for dune flying if its directly perpendicular to the dunes. Its possible to fly almost as long as the wind blows ; generally half an hour Ground skimming can be fun too if the wind is slow.
