Piz di Renten (Cima Croce)

Access Notes

This is a very nice spot for summer / autumn flights, where you normally get inversion in the low end of the atmosphere. The take off is situated over the 2000m. Hike time from Braggio is about 2h - 1000m height difference. To reach it: From Grono take the bus direction Rossa. Stop at Arvigo. Take the cablecar to Braggio. Walk direction Alp de Fora. Once reached Alp de Fora, there is an unofficial path that starts right in front of you when you sit on the bank beneath the House of Alp de Fora. You can barely see it, but once reached the start, it is normally a very easy path. It is not the path that goes straight direction south. If you take that one, you'll never reach Piz di Rüss. Follow the path until you reach a little pile of stones, which is there to show you the right way. From there head left toward the mountain side and hike up the grass (there is a little path if you carefully look for it). Continue to hike up and you'll reach Piz di Rüss.
