El primer tramo al despegue de arriba en ponzos, es de asfalto pasando a ser de gravilla y tierra. Con precaución sube cualquier turismo. Al aterrizaje se llega a través de un camino de tierra que te deja en las ruinas de una antigua mina de oro. Es importante no sobrepasar con los vehículos este punto, las dunas están protegidas, se puede aterrizar y hacer campa, pero no estacionar los vehículos.
