About This Spot

Gorse weeds cover much of the mound and the fields below but there is a large grassy section on the south slope which can be accessed from the top. The top has tall grass and is gorse free.

I flew this site in 2009 after asking some local far north residents for advise on where to find cliffs or mounds facing the prevailing winds. I soared for just a few minutes in 10-15mph south/southwest winds before a rain squall moved in (video attached).
