About This Spot
Flew here once so far (July 2010). in the heat of the day (>40oC) huge amount of small punchy thermals rising up from the houses and factories etc in front.
Probably best as an evening soaring site rather than when the day in pumping. However it could also be used early to catch a thermal and drift back on to the the larger ridge (see radar site) and continue from there.
Takeoff altitude: 192m

Access Notes
Easy. Drive North from Baku towards Guba. After passing Beshbarma, there will be an exit to Siezan. Take this exit and drive down the main street of Siezan. The ridge which almost appears to be man made is clearly visible with quite a steep face and height of ~100m. Turn left down one of the streets when approximately level with the start of the southern end of the ridge. From some of these streets tracks lead up to the top of the ridge. Find one of these then when on top of the ridge, drive north across the top to the best launch area.
