About This Spot

The takeoff is on a bluff overlooking a long beach, at about 100 metres elevation. It's accessible by any vehicle, although it's not so easy to find... You can get to it from the sugarcane fields above the village of Teniya.

This is a great site that works best in an east wind. There are never a lot of pilots working this ridge.

Takeoff altitude: 66m

Access Notes

Teniya is about 1.5 hours from Naha by car. Turn off the freeway at Ginoza and follow the signs to Higashi. You will pass Kayo (another site 14km after the turnoff to Higashi - Teniya is about another 5-10 minutes). It's best to call Frank Ashimine at Bluesky Okinawa for detailed directions or for guiding services. His English is great and he's very friendly!
